Watch park rangers go after dog that falls into a volcano

When a four-year-old lab ran away from his owner on a long Hawaiian walk, his owner thought she might not see him again. Her boyfriend looked for the dog, but was unable to see him. It was not until the following day that the dog was located nearly 20 feet down inside a volcano. When Marta realized that her dog was stuck in the volcano, she called the local park rangers to help her save her dog.

These rangers do not work to rescue animals in Hawaii, but they were not able to say no when they realized that the dog was alive and stuck in an area filled with lava. They worked tirelessly together to remove the dog from the large hole. Marta filmed the entire thing, dropping the camera when she heard the rangers yell that the dog was coming out of the hole so that she could run up and greet him.

Park rangers were very happy to help this dog, because most dogs that fall into the same crack or ones like it are not so lucky. However, they do remind all dog owners to keep their dogs on a leash to prevent accidents like this from occurring. Marta&rsquo-s dog was lucky, but many dogs are not so lucky when the same fall occurs.
