Man donates lottery ticket winnings to animal shelter

When a Dallas man won $500 on the lottery in December, he did something you might not expect with the money. Instead of putting it the bank or spending it on a gift for himself he did something amazing with his winnings. While many of us would probably hold onto to our winnings or buy something we have always wanted, this man done something very selfless with the money he won. So let&rsquo-s learn more about what he did that was such an amazing act of kindness.

It all started a year ago when Bryce Vucekovich, an avid pet lover adopted a three legged dog from a local animal rescue shelter. After bringing the dog home, Bryce wished he could do more to help the shelter but simply didn&rsquo-t have the extra funds to give away. So he made a promise to himself that if he ever had some extra money he would donate it to the shelter. While he thought it would be a long time before he was going to get to fulfill his dreams, something amazing happened to make it possible.

One day after getting very lucky he won $500 while playing the state lottery. After collecting his winnings Bryce went out and bought a truck load of dog food, cat food and litter. Then he took it to the shelter where the staff was very shocked but happy to see him. These much needed supplies would come in really handy and it helps the facility to feed the hundreds of dogs and cats that they take in each and every year. This was a big boost for the shelter and they were very thankful to see him pull up with so much food for the hungry animals.

The rescue later took it to social media to thank Bryce for his gift, and now he has become some kind of a celebrity among the many dog lovers in his community. It&rsquo-s unclear if Bryce will ever get lucky and win the lottery again. But it&rsquo-s a safe bet that if he does he will be donating some of it to the shelter.
