Abused dog educates the world on animal cruelty and prevention

One of the biggest problems in the world of animals is that not all parents teach their kids how to properly treat animals. While most parents are very good about this, teaching their kids the art of being gentle and treating all living creatures with respect and love- some don&rsquo-t care. Some people are so bad to dogs themselves that their kids see how they behave and they mimic that behavior as they get older. Perhaps they simply don&rsquo-t know it&rsquo-s not all right since they witnessed their parents do it- perhaps they are simply ignorant to the consequences of their own poor behavior. Whatever it is, we applaud and appreciate those who go above and beyond to ensure children are properly educated regarding the proper care and treatment of animals.

Now, meet Chance. Chance is beautiful, but his life has been very unfair to this point. He&rsquo-s only 5-months-old, but he was raised by someone who thought it was all right to duct tape his mouth shut. This pit bull puppy was found, hurt and in pain, on Christmas. He was wandering the streets when a kind person saw him and saved him. He had broken hips, and his face was scarred badly from what appears to be months of being bound and taped. The Guardians of the Green Mile (located in Indiana) saved this dog, and now he is in therapy to learn to become a therapy dog. When he is done with his training and his rehabilitation, he will go into schools and he will help teach children the proper way to treat animals by sharing his story.

Chance received a guardian angel this Christmas when he was saved from his harrowing abuse, and that makes his story a happy ending kind of deal. However, we only hope that his story will inspire others to be better to their animals.
