Is the applehead chihuahua a different breed of dog?

The Applehead Chihuahua got its name from the shape of its head which many people says it resembles a large ripe apple. These pint sized dogs have a large and prominent head with a short muzzle giving them a unique look. Coat length can vary in these animals and many dogs will have either a long or short coat but some will have wavy fur. Color coat is also a wide ranging variable and will depend on the parent animals. In general, these animals will reach a height of only 9 inches when fully grown and weigh no more than 6 pounds. This makes these feisty pooches the smallest dogs in the world.

Are There Any Health Issues?

When it comes to purebred dogs you are going to have some health issues that you might need to be concerned about. While these dogs are very healthy breed and often live more than 15 years, you should learn about what might affect them.
