Facebook helps find a stolen oregon human society pitbull puppy

Who knows where little Marlowe the Pitbull puppy would be if she wasn&rsquo-t found thanks to a tip through Facebook. The 2-year-old puppy was stolen from the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) during its regular business hours on September 16 and had gone missing. A detailed tip that had been sent through Facebook was the trick in getting the puppy back. The person who sent the tip gave a name, address and phone number of the person who was thought to have the little canine. Authorities including the police as well as OHS staffers went to the address provided and were able to return Marlowe back.

After the puppy was vaccinated on the afternoon of the 16th, she disappeared suddenly. The pup had just been put into a locked kennel alongside a litter mate. In order to get into that area, one would need a key card for access. According to the spokesperson for the OHS, David Lytle, revealed that there were no possible connections between the one who was said to have Marlowe and any of the staffers of OHS.

&ldquo-Their hearts were broken when Marlowe was stolen,&rdquo- Lytle said. &ldquo-Everyone was very thrilled when they heard she was found.”

The other day, little Marlowe and her foster mom Lisa Achilles were reunited at the OHS. In fact, Marlowe was also quite happy to be in the care of the woman once again.

&ldquo-My husband and I spent a lot of time trying to get this little girl ready to go to a new home,&rdquo- Achilles said. &ldquo-And when I found out that she hadn&rsquo-t been to a screen family, it was just devastating to me.”

It&rsquo-s a bit of a tricky situation: those who were found with Marlowe claim that some young kids at the park had given the pups to them. The kids told others that they had found her. There are no further investigative leads just yet in the case and no arrests have been made.
