Firefighter saves puppy’s life with cpr

A dangerous blaze brought firefighters to a dog kennel located in Little Hulton which is in the city of Manchester in United Kingdom. The fire had ripped through the kennel and many of the dogs needed to be rescued. As the fire department was pulling the dogs from the burning building, one of the canines was in bad condition. When the firefighter pulled the tiny little dog from the smoke filled building the animal had a very shallow pulse. At only 8 eight months old, this puppy had inhaled a large an amount of smoke. The fireman quickly acted and put an oxygen mask on the dog and started giving the animal a heart massage which is supposed to help restart the heart in humans.

After a few minutes of performing the heart massage the man could feel a heartbeat. This was really good news and the puppy was brought back to life, thanks to the quick thinking fireman. The rescuer treated the puppy just like he would a human victim and his action saved the puppy from dying. The fireman spoke to the local media and was quoted as saying this about the dog &ldquo-The heart massage is exactly the same as you would do with an adult, although I put a breathing mask with oxygen in it on him instead of doing mouth to mouth.&rdquo- But sadly there were four dogs that didn&rsquo-t make it through the fire and they perished due to smoke inhalation before the rescue team could get to them.

There were also people inside of the building when the fire broke out. Two adults and six children made it out of the building without issue. 10 other dogs were rescued during the fire and are now resting safely at another facility. Thankfully, many of the dogs made it out of the fire without any injury and hopefully the kennel will be repaired. This sad story has a happy ending thanks to one fast thinking firefighter. While the man was use to rescuing people now he has saved a little dog that is surely thankful for his help.
