Family dog keeps murder suspect at bay while woman is rescued

A family dog in Dekalb County, GA saved the life of his pet mom Adra Wilson when a runaway murder suspect busted into their house. The suspect went on a violent crime spree yesterday. It started in Henry County and runaway to Dekalb County where he was tracked down by the cops. The suspect allegedly stabbed someone in Henry County and fled. Somehow the suspect ended up in a house on Shadowridge Drive SE, a mile away from the Wilson&rsquo-s residence, where he killed the woman who resided there, according to police.

Neighbors of the woman who was killed were shocked and saddened by the horrific crime. Magda Henandez, a neighbor who lives across the street said, &ldquo-Yeah, it&rsquo-s very sad that she died. Can&rsquo-t believe it,&rdquo- Hernandez said. &ldquo-They&rsquo-re good people, they&rsquo-re good people, really.&rdquo- The police noted that the suspect tried to get away in his truck but the vehicle wouldn&rsquo-t go. Then he tried again to escape using the woman&rsquo-s car but got in a wreck and he ended up running away on foot into the neighborhood where the Wilson&rsquo-s reside. Hoping that he could hide from the authorities, he broke into the Wilson&rsquo-s house.

Adra was home alone with their Bulldog when the suspect broke into their house. Then their family bulldog started to bark and that&rsquo-s when she knew that the situation was bad because their pup only barks when serious situations arise. Adra called 911 immediately and &ldquo-the police told her to keep still, and they&rsquo-d come get her. Eric Wilson, husband of Adra said, &ldquo-He just basically acted as a deterrent, and kept the intruder from coming upstairs.”

The police came, surrounded the Wilson&rsquo-s house, and got Adra out safely while the suspect was hiding in the basement. The standoff lasted for four hours then a tear gas was tossed into the house and the suspect came out running to the cops and away from the Wilson&rsquo-s family dog. Eric Wilson was relieved that his wife was rescued safely and said, &ldquo-Who knows what would have happened if he&rsquo-d gotten upstairs? They say the dog bit him a couple of times, just kept him at bay.&rdquo- The suspect&rsquo-s identity is still unidentified and the authorities are not releasing any further details about him and his crimes, yet.

We are happy that the family bulldog saved Adra&rsquo-s life. If it wasn&rsquo-t for him the suspect could have gone upstairs to possibly harm her.
