Meet millie and corn dog, a formidable cat-baby combo

I’ll be honest, I have next to zero interest in looking at photos of anyone’s baby. That might sound mean-spirited, but I just don’t find babies particularly appealing to look at. Give me a cat owner’s iPhone and I’ll happily scroll through every single kitty pic on it. But someone’s newborn? Nah, not for me.

Unless, that is, the baby photos happen to involve a kitten in every picture. In those cases, feel free to start up the slideshow.

With that premise in mind, I’d like to introduce you to Corn Dog and Millie, a baby and kitten duo who have become rising stars on the Instagram circuit thanks to their admittedly cute-as-heck pictures. Here’s what you need to know about them.

They’re practically twins

Instagram.

Corn Dog was officially adopted on June 30 of last year. Amelia (or Millie) announced herself to this world of ours on Aug. 9. Since then, they’ve been officially inseparable. They live together in Oklahoma.

The bond is strong

According to Internet lore, Corn Dog and Millie began to bond after the baby joined the cat in napping on their human’s chest. Since then, they’ve kept snuggling up together at every opportunity.

Corn Dog is also a teething toy

Instagram.

Corn Dog is said to be one exceptionally patient and tolerant kitty. Also, he makes for quite a useful teething toy. Watch out, Sophie the Giraffe, this kitten is coming for your spot.

They make a happy couple

If you skip through Corn Dog and Millie’s Instagram account, you’ll see not only how inseparable they are, but you’ll also get confirmation that they’re definitely best friends material.

They have fine positional sense

Instagram.

You’ll also notice that Corn Dog and Millie are fast turning into catnap professionals with a bewitching array of dozing poses in their repertoire. Perfect 10s all around for this one, right?

Corn Dog came from a barn

Instagram.

As this is Catster, how about we give Corn Dog a little time to shine on his own? He was originally rescued as a barn cat but has adjusted to domestic life with much poise. He especially enjoys taking rides in the car.

Normal programming now resumes

Fine, okay, you win, here’s one more picture of the baby and the cat together. I’ll admit, this is definitely one cute couple.
