With the Fourth of July right around the corner, we’re feeling a little festive (and excited about a day off from work to spend at home with our kitties!), so this week’s giveaway is all about the red, white, and blue.

Don’t you just love how the swirling colors of this crocheted cat blanket kind of look like a firework? A kind that’s safe for cats, of course! And they come in other colors, too!

These crocheted cat blankets are handmade by Etsy shop Smooch Panda Crafts. They’re approximately 18 inches in diameter — the perfect size and softness to curl up on for a nice summer catnap! The creator originally designed them for her cat, Mochi, so she could could enjoy looking outside and nap in comfort. Mochi loves her crocheted blanket so much that they became a permanent item in her mom’s shop!

They’re also machine washable, so you can give them a little wash every now and then to keep them bright and nice.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter to win, please visit Smooch Panda Crafts shop and choose which color combination you’d like. There are several combos to chose from, so your kitty should surely find one he or she likes! Then come back here and leave us a comment saying which one you choose. Winners can be anywhere internationally! We’ll randomly select one winner and notify them privately, so make sure we have your email when you registered your Disqus account or that we can contact you via Facebook or Twitter, if that’s how you log in. All entries must be received by Thursday, July 5, 2012 at noon PST. Once we notify you, you have two days to respond or we’re picking someone else. Those are the brakes!
