Want to run away with the acro-cat circus?

Have you wanted to run away with the circus, but the only thing stopping you was that the circus is not made of cats? That the clowns are not cats? That the strongman is not a cat? That the trapeze artists and the tightrope walkers are all not cats?

Well, as they say when you go to buy a boat, today is your lucky day. Samantha Martin and the Acro-Cats are looking for someone to run away with them, and as they are a circus made of up of trained cats, this could be just the sort of outfit you are looking to run away with. Specifically, you would be a tour assistant.

NOTE: There is a groundhog, a chicken, and a few rats in this circus. You would be traveling around the country, tour-assisting as the cats, the groundhog, the chicken, and so on, perform in venues in across the United States.

Also NOTE: Pay varies by show and includes per diem, according to the Craigslist ad posted earlier this week.

We’ve covered the Acro-Cats several times, chatting with Samantha Martin about the show and about how she trains her cats. We also talked about her quest to fund the most incredible cat tour bus ever. We like Samantha Martin.

If you are concerned about someone carting cats around the U.S. to perform in a circus, read one of the things we wrote: “All of Samantha’s cats are rescues, and she even tours with adoptable kittens from overcrowded shelters. The kittens are taught basic tricks to help endear them to future furever homes- Samantha has successfully adopted out about 100 cats. She told me that families still send her photos of the cats she helped place.”

Also read this: “By training all the cats to perform at least one cute trick, Samantha endears them to their new owners, which makes them less likely to relinquish the cats later on. One family even still sends photos of their own Acro-Cat, who still performs her trick. I was impressed with Samantha’s strategy.”
