Sleepy kitty tumbles into food coma — while still standing!

The life of a kitten can be so tiring. If you’ve taken a moment to watch the Kitten Cam (wait, on second thought, don’t click — oh, go ahead, we’ll see you later then … much later), you’ll see that kittens have a full agenda of sleeping, sleeping, sleeping, more sleeping, eating, sleeping, sleeping, mewing adorably, sleeping, playing, playing, eating, and sleeping. It’s the kind of day that makes you wake up, stretch elaborately for five minutes, and then go back to sleep. Hey, you can’t risk injuries while sleeping, am I right?

The kitten in this video takes his schedule very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that he can’t wait to get to bed before ticking off the next thing on his list after eating: sleeping.

Immediately following his scrumptious meal, the kitten sits down, blinks his eyes adorably, and then slowly … steadily … drifts off to sleep … and falls over. Fortunately, he’s still pretty tiny, so he doesn’t tumble from any great height.

It’s almost as if he’s slipping into the world’s most profound food coma. We hope his helpful humans got him to bed quickly, where he could continue doing what kittens do best: sleeping.

And now we’re feeling a little sleepy, too … so sleepy … just gonna close our eyes for a minute … just a … zzzz.
