Dog mistakenly boarded on flight to ireland instead of arizona

This almost seems too crazy to be true but if any of you have seen the movie &ldquo-Home Alone&rdquo- then imagine the same scenario only this happening with your dog. According to ABC News:

Edith Lombardo-Albach of Staten Island, N.Y., told ABCNews.com that her six-year-old English Springer Spaniel named Hendrix was scheduled to arrive in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona around 9:45 p.m. Thursday evening on a flight out of Liberty Newark International Airport on United Airlines. &ldquo-They marked everything Phoenix, and put the tags on Phoenix,&rdquo- she said. But seven minutes before the flight was supposed to land, she received a phone call from the United Airlines informing her that Hendrix would not be arriving in Arizona that evening.

Lombardo originally thought that her dog passed away and she was screaming in tears. The silver lining to this story is that Hendrix was cared for and flew back to New Jersey where his owners were waiting for him. Obviously United Airlines was more than apologetic and stated that this was highly unusual. Lombardo stated she hoped that someone &ldquo-loses their job.&rdquo- We&rsquo-re just glad that Hendrix is OK but hopefully he won&rsquo-t be flying anywhere soon.
