Pix we love: is blue chip the smexiest smoosh-face cat ever?

We all love a seductive smoosh-faced feline, right? Well, a certain cat called Blue Chip is certainly hoping that’s the case as he sets out to woo the world with claims that he’s a “s.m.e.x.y. Exotic Shorthair” and the “smexiest feline ever.” (Smexy, as in, smart and sexy.) Quite a claim — and one that you can soon judge for yourself as we run through a selection of his most smoldering poses.

As a bit of backstory to Blue Chip, it’s said that his name was inspired by blue chip stocks, blue chip athletes, and blue poker chips (alas, not the excellent and frankly not-remotely-safe-for-work Action Bronson and Party Supplies rap album of the same name). He’s also blind in his right eye, is a fiend for belly rubs, and very much enjoys dressing up.

The 11th official commandment of Blue Chip states, “Belly rubs are demanded throughout the day” — although here he’s kept his tum covered in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year. What a fop!

Blue Chip was the smallest cat out of a litter of four. Here he is demonstrating his diminutiveness inside some prime cardboard real estate.

“Motorboat is my nickname due to my diesel-like purr,” says Blue Chip. It’s a point he brings home with nautical aplomb.

Commandment 18 of the Book of Blue Chip: “I am a very patient kitty.”

This feline fashionista is not lying when he claims, “I have an extensive collection of ties and outfits.”

While a young kitten, it was discovered that Blue Chip was blind in one eye due to a cataract.

“Sitting like a human is my specialty,” apparently.
